Boyko Crushes Five-Way All-In with Full House

In early June, it was Day 1 of Event #29: $2,500 NLH when reporter Sava Krink caught a wild hand in Level 13 (2,000/3,000/3,000). Brian Yoon kicked off the chaos by moving all in for 19,000 from early position. Malcolm Franchi called in the hijack, but things escalated quickly. Viliyan Petleshkov shoved for around 42,000 on the button, followed by Yuriy Boyko in the small blind, who moved all in for 91,000.

Sitting in the big blind with a stack of about 32,000, Michael Jozoff took his time before deciding to put his chips in as well. With four players all in ahead of him, Franchi asked for a count on the stacks, covered them all, and eventually tossed in the call. Four players were now at risk, and the table gathered to watch the massive showdown.

Brian Yoon: AQ
Michael Jozoff: 1010
Viliyan Petleshkov: AK
Yuriy Boyko: JJ
Malcolm Franchi: QQ

The flop came J77, giving Boyko a full house right out of the gate. The 4turn and 7river sealed the deal. With more chips than the other shorter stacks, Boyko scooped the huge pot while Yoon, Jozoff, and Petleshkov all headed for the exit.

Croffut Among Trio Eliminated by Pyloore

On Day 3 of Event #19: $500 COLOSSUS, reporter Frank Visser saw that Adam Croffut had put in his final 75,000 chips from early position. Andrew Tang then re-jammed for about 4,300,000 from the hijack, and Stavros Petychakis called off his stack of 3,400,000 in the hijack.

Table chipleader Ramaswamy Pyloore was in the small blind, calling to put the other three players at risk of elimination.

Adam Croffut: A6
Stavros Petychakis: A10
Andrew Tang: KQ
Ramaswamy Pyloore: JJ

Tang shot ahead on the 103Qflop with his pair of queens. The 5turn had Croffut drawing dead, while the Jriver provided Pyloore with one of two outs to take down the pot and knock out all three players, much to the amazement of the many onlookers that had gathered.

Double Elimination Deep in COLOSSUS

Agustin Mendez

In the same event in Level 44 (2,500,000/5,000,000/5,000,000), reporter Laura Fryer caught a double elimination with just 11 players remaining. Bobby Poe was under the gun and moved all in for his remaining 16,000,000 stack. Agustin Mendez was next to act in the cutoff and re-jammed for 17,800,000. Ramaswamy Pyloore was in the big blind and pondered before saying, "Why not?" and moved a stack full of chips into the middle to make the call.

Bobby Poe: AQ
Agustin Mendez: 88
Ramaswamy Pyloore: 34

Mendez was initially ahead preflop, but Poe picked up a pair of queens on the 6JQflop.

The 7was turned, which gave Pyloore a gutshot straight draw. He was calling for a "five, five" before the dealer peeled the last card.

A 5came on the river, and Pyloore stole yet another pot and secured a double elimination in the last hand of the day.

Pyloore goes into the unscheduled Day 4 tomorrow as the clear chip lead, returning with around a quarter of the total chips in play.

Foxen is King

On Day 2 of Event #32: $50,000 High Roller, reporter Connor Richards caught a pair of hands involving Alex Foxen. In Level 11 (10,000/25,000/25,000), Klemens Roiter opened to 60,000 on the button and Foxen three-bet jammed a stack of around 450,000 in the big blind as he got an earful from Martin Kabrhel about an "ugly hoodie" he wore the other day. Ignoring this, Roiter called.

Alex Foxen: A2
Klemens Roiter: KK

Foxen was able to crack kings in proper fashion as the board ran out 2610A2to give him a runner-runner full house.

"Alex Foxy!" said Khabrel. "You played that very well, especially on the turn."

Khabrel then turned to Roiter and gave him some unsolicited advice. "Do you know who this is?" he said, pointing to Foxen. "You can't get it in with just a pair against him. Set at least."

Gettings kings cracked is painful. But getting them cracked twice in the same orbit, by the same opponent, is inconceivable.

Foxen opened to 50,000 from under the gun and Kabrhel called on the button before Roiter three-bet jammed a stack of 215,000 from the small blind. Foxen called and Kabrhel called after a lengthy Hollywood that included asking for a count of a bet that had already been confirmed.

"You didn't expect that, did you?" Kabrhel said before wishing Roiter good luck. "Two for Austria against stupid hoodie guy."

Foxen sized down to 160,000 on the J34flop and Kabrhel called. Foxen then bet 125,000 on the Aturn and Khabrel folded to the "weird bet."

Klemens Roiter: KK
Alex Foxen: AJ

Foxen had once again turned as ace against Roiter's kings, and it ended up being the final blow as the 5river confirmed Roiter's elimination.

"At least apologize to the man," said Kabrhel.

"I just gave him an apologetic glance," replied Foxen.
