Playing Maharashtra Lottery games is easy. When you buy a ticket, you receive a unique number. It starts with the series number, followed by four digits. The Maharashtra State runs a paper lottery system, so you can’t play online.

The cost of a ticket is Rs. 50. If you have the same four-digit number as the winning ticket, but from a different series, you win a consolation prize. If you win a Maharashtra Lottery prize, you have 90 days to claim it. Beyond this deadline, your ticket will no longer be valid.
You will need to present your original ticket to be able to claim prizes of any value, so make sure you keep it safe from the time you buy it. You can claim prizes of up to Rs. 10,000 from retail agents, but for prizes worth more than Rs. 10,000 you will need to claim in person from the Maharashtra Lottery directorate in Sewree, Mumbai.
