  • A draw pile is created from the remaining cards after each player receives a predetermined number of cards, typically seven. Making legitimate sets or sequences that add up to 23 points is the goal. While a sequence is made up of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, a set is made up of three or four cards of the same rank. To start the game, the player on the dealer's left draws a card from the draw or discard piles.
