Momentum, a playful artist book by Sivan Lavie, in a format that parallels at once a children's book and a spiritual guide such as the Book of Tao. A combination of abstract paintings painted especially for the project and a poetic story line that reflects a fresh outlook on art and of being in the world. Deep thoughts about existence, our presence and its effect. Every spread of pages contains a number of sentences on one side, paired with a painting as an accompaniment to the text. The reader wanders through the visual-textual-tactic, colorful space and explores deep questions on observation, decision-making, what is energy: where can it be channeled? All this through a child-like, tasty experience, with big colorful paintings, shiny stickers that are hand-stuck onto the pages, making each book an original, unique, limited edition copy. The book is intended for artists, every other type of grown adult, for children and babies alike: each reader gets from the book exactly what he needs.
