The sea
On the 17th of July 2019, I spent 24 hours in Barbur Gallery, Jerusalem, as part of Barbur B&B residency programme. During this time, I created drawings that are skirt the walls, drawings that were hung on the windows, small sculptures that are homages to my friend and teacher Pesach Slabosky, hosted two performative lectures and invited friends to draw with me and sell clothes. The work created revolved around the theme of calmness, a return to the sea. This was explored in conversation, in drawing as a method to slow breath, scupture with sea shells and a lecture on the topic.
